Due to the promotion of existing staff members and the increased need of the students within our successful DSP for Autism we are looking to appoint additional Learning Support Assistants to work across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Parkside is a rapidly improving school situated in a rural situation, close to Haworth, West Yorkshire, with good transport links to both Bradford and Leeds.  It is a popular and oversubscribed 11 to 18 co-educational school with 1100 students on role. In September 2013, we welcomed our new Headteacher who is both excited and committed to developing Parkside School and making it the good school that both the students and community deserve.
In November 2014, OFSTED commented;

 “The Headteacher, newly appointed senior leaders and many middle managers have high expectations. They have made large-scale changes since the previous inspection that are improving teaching and raising achievement….”
”Behaviour around the school is calm and orderly. Students enjoy coming to school and are welcoming to visitors”

“The school’s arrangements to keep students’ safe are good. Students say how well they are supported and cared for and how little bullying takes place”

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, innovative, and motivated Teaching Assistant who feels they are able to make a real difference to the lives of the students here at Parkside School. The successful applicant will report directly to SENCO / Assistant SENCO and it is expected they will support the strategic direction and development of the faculty across all areas.

Experience and understanding of working with young people on the Autistic Spectrum is essential.
Proven experience in supporting students to raise their attainment is desirable.
