Learning Support Coordinator

St. Stephen’s International School, Bangkok Campus, is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic Learning Support Coordinator, who will be based at our Bangkok Campus, for August 2022.

The school’s Learning Support Coordinator provides Learning Support across the whole school, both in lessons and through withdrawal. There are a small number of children in the school with dyslexia, dyscalculia and cognitive difficulties, and others who are at the milder end of the autistic spectrum. The Coordinator needs to be a good communicator, acting as a link between parents, teachers, students and external specialists. The Coordinator is expected to provide advice for teachers and to work closely with the school’s English Second Language Department. The Coordinator is responsible for the assessment and monitoring of student progress. The coordinator is also expected to monitor and oversee learning support at our sister campus in Khao Yai, 2 hours to the North.

It is essential to:

 Be a native-level English speaker

 Have experience of providing learning support in a school environment

 Be appropriately qualified (e.g. B.Ed. or a first degree and a PGCE)

 Provide three professional referees, one of whom must be the applicant’s current, or most recent, Principal.

It is desirable to have experience of:

 Working with children for whom English is not their first language

 Working in the international sector 

St. Stephen’s is located in the north of Bangkok, close to Don Muang Airport and the world famous Chatuchak Market. The school is two-form entry and caters for all ages from Nursery to Year 13.
