Learning Support Manager
As a school, we are committed to the continued development of our inclusion and pastoral systems to best support our students. We are delighted to invite candidates to apply for the role of Learning Support Manager to support the next phase of the Achievement for All Department.
The Achievement for All Department supports all students who have a barrier to learning. This includes our SEND students who fit under the four broad areas of need. We are also responsive to supporting students who are under investigation.
This role is responsive to the growing needs of our student population. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow the support in the Achievement for All Room.
The AFA room is a base for our most vulnerable students not only at break and lunchtimes, but during lessons for those who need regulation time, as well as an intervention space before and after school.
The successful candidate will be required to support students lesson by lesson within the AFA Room and also work with the Achievement for All Leadership in mapping out and implementing the AFA timetable each day. The successful candidate would also be responsible for monitoring which students are in AFA lesson by lesson and supporting with their work.
The successful candidate would also support in implementing a regulation area in AFA for any students who need that bespoke intervention during lessons. The successful candidate may also be asked to support in lessons where required, working with small groups and 1:1.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively and support with our Bridge provision. The Bridge is a provision which is our on-site Alternative Provision. Students spend placements within The Bridge to provide intensive support for emotional regulation and smaller group curriculum support. Students in the Bridge spend a 6-week placement in the Bridge before transitioning back to mainstream lessons.
This role requires flexibility, strong levels of communication and creative thinking to ensure the AFA room is managed in the most effective way to ensure that the AFA room provides best support to the most vulnerable students.
Please note CVs are not accepted.
