We are looking for enthusiastic, effective and proactive Learning Support Mentors to join our Learning Support & Inclusive Practice team. • Encouraging independence, resilience and communication skills

  • Promoting inclusive practice and advocating for learner success

  • Working 1:1, in small groups, or supporting whole‑class learning

  • Helping students engage fully in college life — including trips, enrichment and work placements

  • Using assistive technology and learning tools to enhance access

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and parents/carers to monitor progress and celebrate achievement

  • Providing personal care where required and supporting students with medical, physical or sensory needs

What you’ll bring:

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people

  • Experience working with individuals with SEND, SEMH or medical needs

  • A strengths‑based approach that puts learner voice at the centre

  • Excellent communication skills and a patient, positive manner

  • Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to embrace new challenges

  • GCSE (or equivalent) English & Maths at grade C/4 or above

Why join us?

At Truro and Penwith College, you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive and forward‑thinking team committed to inclusion, wellbeing and high‑quality learning experiences. We invest in your training, development and career progression, and you’ll be making a genuine difference every day.
