Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Officer who is well-read, and passionate about the English subject to join our strong English department. A new school, occupying purpose built, state of the art buildings and facilities, South Bank UTC opened in September 2016 and specialises in STEM subjects for 14-19 year olds.
We offer a forward thinking, innovative curriculum built on high academic standards, learning in a technical context, close links to employer and university partners and a professional environment. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with young people to motivate and inspire the best out of them. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the work of the teaching team in driving attainment and achievement by working in small groups or on a one to one basis with students who require additional support. The successful candidate should have a keen interest in English literature, language and strong literacy skills.
