The British International School, Lagos is one of Nigeria’s leading schools. Situated on a large purpose-built campus in the heart of one of Africa’s liveliest cities, the school offers a broad and balanced education to around 370 students aged between eleven and eighteen. The school is co-educational and accepts both day-students and boarders.

For September 2018, we seek to appoint an able and experienced teacher of Learning Support who has the ability to provide learning support to targeted students.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and positive teacher, who is able to work as part of a team and motivate others. He/she will be expected to support learning across the school from year 7 to 13 and be able to work with teachers of Cambridge (CIE/Edexel) IGCSE and AS/A2 level. They must be willing and available to train and support teachers in providing targeted learning support intervention within the mainstream classroom.  In terms of the package, we offer, in addition to a net salary, free accommodation and utilities, full time domestic help, a return annual flight and assistance with healthcare and access to a pool car and driver.

Established in 2001, British International School, Lagos (BIS) is a co-education Independent international School located in the Nigerian city of Lagos. The school was founded to provide a British education to students aged 11-18.  From September 2021 the school will welcome primary aged pupils to its purpose built Junior School. The school resides on a 30-acre site and accepts both day and boarding pupils. Older pupils sit IGCSE/GCSE and A Level examinations with most continuing their education in the UK or North America. The curriculum at BIS is well supported by a range of modern academic and recreational facilities, including a 25-metre swimming pool, a fully equipped library, a basketball court, and an extensive modern residential area providing boarding to a large proportion of the school’s students.
