The Post
An exciting opportunity has arisen to replace a Learning Support Teacher. We are looking to recruit a Part Time Learning Support Teacher to work alongside our SENDCo with pupils across the school who require a little additional support to be able access fully our vibrant and enriching curriculum. The role will primarily involve supporting children in short one to one sessions delivering activities to facilitate learning, consolidate comprehension and enhance self-confidence. Although initially a one year contract, the position is likely to lead to a permanent role being available after an internal review of Learning Support provision.
The School
Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.
Ashfold aims to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff. We were thrilled to have been rated ‘excellent’ by the ISI in so many areas of our provision in our last inspection.
Closing date: Friday 18th May 2018
Interviews: Thursday 24th May 2018
Ashfold is committed to the protections and safety of its children and the successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion. Charity Number 272663.
