The Learning Support Teacher provides direct and indirect support to students, teachers, and parents/carers.
The role will see you
- provide support to the classroom/subject teacher(s) in the form of Planning for Personalised Learning: appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, resourcing, and recording of programs for students either individually, in small groups, on a withdrawal basis, or in-class settings
- provide support through consultancy to school personnel, parents, and other agencies
- advise the Principal concerning the acquisition, development, and provision of suitable resources and programs
- liaise with relevant colleagues and other members across the Diocese at periods of transition in students’ education
- ensure your professional skills and knowledge are abreast of curriculum developments, current teaching practices, and education.
Candidates with proven experience in a similar learning support role will be highly regarded. Desirable for the candidate to have qualifications in Special Education.
