An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Head of Foundation Learning who will support the Head to lead and manage the Foundation Learning provision to ensure that a high-quality experience is delivered in line with College targets that meets the needs of the students and the local community and delivers excellent achievement.
The successful candidate will have excellent teaching skills, a keen sense of responsibility, ownership and a ‘can do’ approach to addressing everyday challenges. The ideal candidate will have a degree and /or professional experience at an appropriate level and a teaching qualification, either a PGCE or a Level 5 teaching qualification with a specialism in SEND. They will have knowledge and experience of delivering high quality Teaching, Learning & Assessment in SEND, ideally within FE, and a record of delivering high achievement rates. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and, ideally will have some experience in supporting a team of professionals and helping to create a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. They would also have experience of working with various stakeholders including borough engagement.
