Aspris Coleg Wales are looking to employ a proactive and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of our learner support team within the College.  We are keen to discuss working hours as part of the interview process and can be flexible to suit the right candidate.

Duties will include:

  • Working 1:1 with allocated learners in the college environment
  • Offering support with academic work and building on independence and employability skills through our Independent Living Skills Programme
  • To assist students by providing personal care if required
  • This is a term time role and a certain degree of flexibility is essential as hours are based around the learners timetable and learners will be in different colleges.

It would be preferable, but not essential, if applicants had previous experience of working with students with special educational needs and autistic spectrum conditions.  Knowledge of the Welsh language is also desirable but not essential.  

Staff may be required to work outside term time if training is required.  The successful candidate will need to hold a full clean driving license with access to their own vehicle as travel to other campuses in the area is required.

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 3 years, for all of our services we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults. Please be advised that references may be requested prior to interview for roles within our schools.

Aspris College North Wales is an independent specialist day college, providing support and care for young people aged 16 to 25 years with Asperger Syndrome, autistic spectrum conditions and associated conditions. The college works in partnership with mainstream colleges and is adjacent to Coleg Cambria in Wrexham, an outstanding tertiary college renowned for delivering excellence in further and higher education.
