Job overview

DBIS places great importance on equipping students with the skills required to work safely and adeptly in the digital world, and our Learning Technologies teachers deliver an exciting STEAM-inspired concept-based curriculum, underpinned by the ISTE standards.

The school is well resourced with a wide range of software and digital devices available across each phase of the school. The school’s innovative learning space, the Discovery Lab, provides a flexible and engaging area for specialist lessons for students from EYFS to Year 6, whilst a fully equipped Secondary Computer Lab caters for older students.

The Learning Technologies team supports teaching teams across all three phases of the school to integrate authentic technology use in classrooms through a range of CPD sessions, coaching and team-teaching opportunities.

DBIS is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic teacher to join our Learning Technologies team. Experience working with STEAM and concept-based curricula and experience of applying the latest ISTE standards would be an advantage. Whilst teaching commitments will primarily focus on the Early Years and Primary phases, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing wider coaching support across the whole school, including the Secondary phase.

The successful applicant will be a fully qualified teacher with experience teaching Learning Technologies and must have a degree in Education or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

Successful candidates will receive a competitive compensation package; the post includes cash, professional development allowances, a gratuity of 18.75%, full remuneration of school fees for one child per family, and medical insurance for the employee.

Interviews will be conducted in Hong Kong and via Skype, Google Meet or Whereby.

A detailed job specification for the teaching post can be found HERE.

Closing date for applications: 3rd February 2023

Please note: Applicants are encouraged to apply early as the school will interview and appoint suitably qualified candidates throughout the recruitment period.
