We are seeking to appoint a full-time lecturer who can demonstrate innovative and outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices to ensure positive outcomes for learners to support curriculum development and standardisation regarding Functional Skills English. This post requires versatility and diversity regarding curriculum delivery as there is a strong focus upon development across the curriculum. You will be joining an effective and successful Functional Skills team within the City Campus of Sunderland College.

Candidates should ideally possess an appropriate degree, teaching qualifications and experience of teaching Functional Skills English. A Subject Specialism would be preferable, together with an assessor’s award/IQA award to support our internal quality assurance processes.  

Within the personal statement, practical examples of how you fulfil the person specification and examples of your teaching practice should be included.
