Salary £24,050 - £34,184

Full Time; 37 hours, Permanent

Do you have the drive and determination to succeed in a challenging environment? Do you have excellent teaching skills and the ability to engage and motivate young people who are on individualised programmes at school and in College? Do you enjoy the energy and pace of working within a high performing team who care about the achievements and outcomes of their students?  The College has an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join our Alternative Provision Team, which includes 14-16, working with EHCP entitled learners and those out of employment or education. The role involves working across both our campuses. You will take responsibility for the teaching and learning, organisation and delivery of courses within our alternative provision programmes, providing tutorial support for a growing number of 14 - 16 students as well as across the other provision. It will include delivering high quality teaching and learning in a range of disciplines. This is a busy and demanding teaching role and you will have the opportunity to use all of your experience and teaching skills to transform the learning skills of our students to equip them for further technical and vocational study.  Candidates should have experience of working with students in alternative provision and preferably experience of working in a School or College environment. Excellent teaching skills, the ability to engage and motivate challenging learners and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.

Values and Vision

Cambridge Regional College works hard to provide a strong range of practical and vocational learning opportunities for students, supported by a well-taught and inclusive curriculum. Aside from a large number of vocational and pre-professional qualifications, the college also has a range of apprenticeship opportunities available for younger learners. The part-time courses at the college are designed to be accessible and flexible for older learners looking to work a job while studying.

Ofsted

“Governors, senior leaders and managers have maintained the good quality of education, training and support in the college since the previous inspection. You and your team have maintained and increased the focus on sustaining the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and the large majority of learners and apprentices are making at least the progress expected of them.”
