Job overview

We are looking to recruit a full-time Lecturer/Assessor in Leadership, Management and Business Support within the faculty of Professional and Adult Learning. This is an exciting opportunity to join an exceptional team of experienced professionals who are committed to outstanding teaching and learning and proactive in working with employers and the local community to deliver this.

This interesting and diverse role involves co-creating with employers in the region. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach, train and assess both in the classroom and the workplace. The role involves working with apprentices and employers on a range of work based learning and adult courses, from Level 2 to Level 5, supporting learners to achieve on-programme learning as well as preparing them for End Point Assessment. The level and programmes assigned to this role will depend on the subject specialisms of the candidate we appoint.

We are looking for candidates who have experience of teaching and training across a range of age groups and subjects, including higher level Leadership and Management and/or candidates who have industry experience and are looking to utilise their skills and knowledge to train others; the role presents the ideal opportunity to put sector knowledge into practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning and confident at working independently and with a team to achieve the best outcomes for our learners.

This role includes 30 days holiday plus 2 weeks’ holiday over the Christmas break, an excellent pension scheme (Teachers' Pension Scheme) and regular training and CPD opportunities. All new staff all receive mentoring from and experienced member of the team. New staff who need to undertake teaching and assessing qualifications to upskill will do this as part of their development. All staff have access to regular training and development through cross college designated staff development days. There are also opportunities in faculty for subject specific development. * please note salary progression beyond £26,576 is subject to having a relevant teaching qualification and timetabled classroom teaching.
