The City of Liverpool College are looking to recruit a lecturer to contribute to achieving excellence in teaching and learning through innovative and excellent practice. The successful postholder will be expected to create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. We are seeking to appoint a lecturer with experience of teaching A level Business. Enthusing students by making the subject content relevant and current with a strong link to employers and the local economy. You will be required to monitor each student’s academic performance and provide feedback for improvements, supervise and motivate students to achieve their academic and personal goals. We offer a range of courses including L1, L2 and L3 BTEC Business, AS and A2 Business and HNC business.
There are plans in the future to develop T- Levels in this area. Our cohort is a mixture of 16-18 year olds and adult learners. Applications from NQTs are welcomed.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.
However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options.
Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.
That’s not to say our college doesn’t offer its own fair share of experiences. Within the 5 locations the following are available;
