Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with good communication skills who is passionate about Computing and IT to join our successful team.  You would deliver across a range of Computing courses, from Level 2 to Level 5.  Our learners are primarily 16-18 year olds, studying a range of Computing programmes.  This is an exciting time to join HCUC – we are one of just 12 providers in the country to be running the Institute of Technology, a collaboration between Further Education, Higher Education and employers to boost technical skills across the country - and are also implementing the new T-level qualification.


You will need to possess a degree in a Computing subject, with good knowledge of at least two of the following areas: Programming (C++, Java, Python); Computer Games Developent; Animation; Database Systems; Computer Networking.  Teaching experience is essential, and some industry experience is desirable.  If you are not fully teacher qualified, we will support you to obtain an advanced level teaching qualification, which will be supported financially in full by the College over the two year period of the course.
