We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English up to Level 2 within our cross-College provision. This is a high-profile area of the college and crucial in supporting our learners with their development and progress onto higher courses or the workplace.
As well as a degree in English or a related subject area, you should ideally have an advanced level teaching qualification (PGCE/DET or equivalent) or be willing to work towards one. You should have experience of teaching English GCSE and/or Functional Skills, with the ability to engage and enthuse 16 to 18 year olds from a variety of vocational disciplines. You should also have a good understanding of the exam requirements in this curriculum area.
