We are looking for a PVH Lecturer to deliver English within the English department. The applicant will be expected to assess learning outcomes, monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of own practice and of the English courses delivered. The applicant will be able to inspire and motivate students at all levels and be a proven team player. The applicant will be expected to take on proportional responsibility for open evenings, open days and other events that run in the college. 

Up to 23 hours per week

Permanent variable hours

All applicants must have:

  • Experience of teaching English across a range of levels from Entry to GCSE.
  • The ability to plan, track and monitor the learning of whole groups and individual students.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students at all levels.
  • The ability to engage students and help them to overcome barriers to achieve English 
  • The capacity to be a team player with excellent communication skills.

It is essential that all applicants meet all qualification requirements: a teaching qualification, a degree and subject specialism at minimum level 3.
