As our Lecturer in ESOL / EFL, you will be a member of the Foundation and Intermediate Learning Section with a specific brief on achieving excellence in teaching, learning and assessment through the targeted use of support for students at risk or under-achieving.

Teaching ESOL / EFL and full cost recovery English qualifications to our international 6th Form students, you will prepare students for exams and complete mock examinations, marking and setting regular assessments, student monitoring and where appropriate curriculum development.

To be successful in this role, candidates should hold a professional qualification in an area relevant to the work in the school and be an outstanding practitioner with evidence to verify this. With the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, you will have energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for pastoral work, your subject and education and have the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

You should also hold a teaching qualification or be prepared to achieve the Preparing to Teach Award (PTLLS) within one year of the start of your employment with the College and the Diploma in Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector (DTLLS), including gaining QTLS within five years.
