Teaching across the Creative Industries provision, you will have specific responsibility for teaching and/or overseeing the delivery of a range of modules on the BA (hons) Acting for Stage and Media course and our BTEC provision. Subject areas could include; Fringe and Applied Theatre, Acting for Screen, Presenting, Voice Over and Audio work, Professional Practice, Classical, Directing and Study Skills.

The successful candidate will hold a degree or professional qualification in an area relevant to the work in the School and hold a teaching qualification, if not you must achieve the Preparing to Teach Award (PTLLS) within one year of the start of their employment with the College and the Diploma in Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector (DTLLS) within five years.

A strong team player with excellent teaching skills, you will have the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress. With high personal standards and expectations, you will be receptive to new ideas and initiatives and have a creative approach to problem solving. Particular specialism in Fringe and Applied Theatre and Acting for Screen is required.

The current working pattern for 2016/2017 is 0.4 over 3 days – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This is negotiable for 2017/2018.
