South Thames College are now looking for a Lecturer to teach and assess on a range of programmes in the Foundation Learning area of the College.


Acting as a Course Leader for a group or groups of students, you will take responsibility for their study programme including Maths and English. You will take an active role in all aspects of student assessment and accreditation and seek and monitor work placements to include visiting and completing risk assessments.


We’re looking for someone who has experience working with and an understanding of the needs of LLDD and who can work effectively as part of a team. Able to provide effective student support, you will have experience of assessment and/or IV practices for a range of specialist accreditation and be able to manage students offering challenging behaviour.


You’ll have knowledge of the accreditation framework and assessment strategies in the post-16 sector including RARPA and of current curriculum changes and the implications for LLDD learning strategies and SEND reforms. A relevant professional qualification is desirable, as is a recognised teaching qualification.
