The Fashion Retail Academy (Ofsted outstanding) is a unique, industry led college. Founded by retail giants, we offer a range of exclusive Fashion courses with unparalleled industry involvement to ensure our students gain the skills and contacts needed to successfully progress to employment.

To support our ambitious and ongoing expansion and diversification plans, we have exciting opportunities available for suitably experienced and qualified candidates to join our expanding team as Lecturers, ‘Group Leads’.

This exciting opportunity is to teach our new online Data Analytics course at level 4. The role requires the successful candidate to be able to communicate a broad range of relevant knowledge and skills to deliver the qualification and would suit a qualified maths teacher with interest in data; support for specific industry related knowledge will be provided for the right candidate.

You will have 1 designated student group and be their primary lecturer and pastoral tutor, hence ‘Group Lead’; this is an exciting opportunity to develop successful and innovative student-centred learning, to nurture your students for success.  The courses are taught wholly online and require evening teaching commitment on a Tuesday evening and twilight support via tutorials both group and 1:1 as well as supporting industry mentoring and forums. We also have data analytics with other FE and HE provisions and are developing further courses in this area which may enable us to offer a full-time option for the right candidate.

As the Group Lead you will be responsible, with the support of our Digital Learning Co-ordinator, for the development of weekly interactive, audio-visual learning resources to support directed learning ready for the live taught session. Students will receive the resources on a Friday via our bespoke CANVAS site ready for class on a Tuesday. The course teaches students the fundamental functions of a data analyst with a focus on the fashion industry and it is a new course developed in partnership with and from endorsement from industry.

The ideal candidate will have a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and be a maths or related science graduate or be working currently as an analyst. We are looking for creative and enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an innovative and open-minded approach to curriculum design and development. The successful candidate will also be able to work flexibly given the nature of the courses.

Please note that this role is a remote / online teaching position, however there will occasionally be times that you are required on-site at the FRA (London, West End) for CPD and training.

If you are interested in joining a dynamic and expanding environment to further develop your career, then we would love to hear from you!

Closing Date: On-going. Please note we will be reviewing applications as and when they come in, so early application is advised.

This is an open recruitment campaign to source candidates for our 2022 Lecturer - Group Lead intake and for addition to our talent bank for future opportunities.
