Contract Type: Fractional, 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Fixed term until 24th October 2025. 

 

Location: Paignton, Devon 

 

Our Health and Care Professions and Nursing team educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to people’s lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society. Our courses combine high quality teaching with work-based learning in clinical environments and many of our degree courses are accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)).   

 

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic individual to join our expanding Health and Care Professions and Nursing provision, to specialise in Audiology. As a Lecturer you will be required to undertake formal scheduled teaching duties as follows:- teaching, tutorials, and student assessment as directed and supported by the Programme Coordinator and Head of Curriculum.  As part of this role, you will be required to attend a range of meetings within UCSD, this may include but not be restricted to:- Annual Programme Monitoring, Programme Committee Meetings, Subject Assessment Panels. You will also work with partners external to the college under direction of the Programme Co-ordinator and Head of Curriculum ensuring high levels of professionalism to further improve and increase opportunities for the students and the breadth of provision on offer. 

  

The successful candidate will hold an Audiology qualification which may include Diploma, Foundation, Bachelors or Masters Degree level and a registration with PSRB such as HCPC and or RCCP. Appropriate vocational experience in Hearing Aid Dispensing and or Audiology Field experience, continued links with degree related industry and relevant IT Skills and knowledge base to support with online delivery.
