Lecturer: Higher Education Childcare (Afan College)

To carry out a full range of teaching duties and administration associated with the delivery and management of learning programmes as appropriate.

Salary: Associate Lecturer Scales 1 – 4, £21,136 - £24,943 per annum, pro rata.  Main Grade Scales 1 – UP1, £26,911 - £38,680 per annum, pro rata (for qualified lecturers).  

Hours of Work: Band B.  Annualised teaching hours: 552.9 – 677 (including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends).

Contract: Permanent, Flexible Fractional.  

Location: NPTC Group of Colleges (initially based at Afan College).  

Qualifications: Ideally you should possess a level 7 qualification (e.g. Masters or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, have relevant experience and hold a teaching qualification.  You should also hold a level 2 qualification in Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate equivalent to level 2.  Assessor/Verifier Awards would be advantageous.
