The Applied Science curriculum area is a dynamic and growing area, having recently received a total remodelling of the classrooms and laboratory areas. It provides a range of outstanding courses from Level 2 to Level 6, including the FdSc and BSc (Hons) in Applied Biosciences which have been developed to help local employers, such as the NHS Trusts, fill their skills gaps. The key focus in the curriculum area is to provide learners with both the practical scientific and laboratory skills to complement their academic development, increasing their employability and potential for success in future study.
We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Chemistry and Biochemistry Lecturer to join a highly-dedicated team, delivering science courses across a range of courses from Level 3 to 6. The successful candidate will hold a post-graduate qualification in Biochemistry or a related discipline. They will have the ability to work proactively and inspire students within this subject area. The ability to teach across a broad range of topics within this subject area, such as Organic Chemistry, Microbiology or Pharmacology, would be advantageous.
