This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to develop their career as a Main Grade Lecturer in Construction Trades & Civil Engineering at The Sheffield College City Campus, located in the heart of Sheffield, 5 minutes’ walk from the main train station.
Over the last 3 years the Construction Department has experienced significant growth in our student base due to high demand and our links with industry have also stimulated growth in apprenticeships.
We are now seeking to appoint a highly qualified and enthusiastic built environment specialist to deliver this aspect of the curriculum up to HND level on our Pearson courses. The post also involves teaching to construction students on our BTEC (Pearson) courses, both full time, part time and apprenticeships at Levels 3 and 4.
The College has high standards of practice, and associated success rates are expected to be achieved.
Your strengths will be industry based in civil engineering and teaching experience. You will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing curriculum and team development.
The successful candidate should either hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards achieving one for candidates applying straight from industry or for those that have minimal teaching experience. Please refer to the job role descriptor for a more detailed description.
