This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to develop their career as a Main Grade Lecturer in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. The Sheffield College Engineering Centre is located in brand new premises on Olive Grove Road in Sheffield, 10 minutes’ walk from our main campus on Granville Road.  The Engineering Department has experienced significant growth in our student base due to high demand and our links with industry have also stimulated growth in apprenticeships.

We are now seeking to appoint a highly qualified and enthusiastic Electrical/Electronics specialist to deliver this aspect of the curriculum up to L4/L5 on our BTEC FE and HE programs. The College has high standards of practice, and associated success rates are expected to be achieved.  Your strengths will be industry based in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Mathematics to teach up to Level 5 and a knowledge of PLC, Automation and Engineering Control Systems would be desirable, as this is an area the department would like to develop further.

The successful candidate should either hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards achieving one for candidates applying straight from industry or for those that have minimal teaching experience. Please refer to the job role descriptor for a more detailed description.  You will join our outstanding team, will be self-motivated and be part of a successful and growing department with Excellence, Employability, Enterprise and Engagement at its core.
