SALARY:  £27.96 per hour 

City and Islington College is a highly successful College with an ambitious growth plan and outstanding financial health.  The College operates from five specialist Centres across the London Borough of Islington. 

About the role:

You will teach on a range of courses from Entry level to Level 2 in English and carry out related duties in terms of marking and preparation, curriculum development, course administration and student tracking.

The successful candidate will need to be able to teach at a range of levels including GCSE and work with both adults and 16-18 cohorts. He/she will need to be able to work day and in particular evening sessions. Classes may be located in external venues where the College has a delivery contract.

About you:

With the possession of appropriate professional qualifications and/or a recognised teaching qualification - the post holder must have a PGCE and a subject specialism in English. Appropriate teaching experience and the understanding of how to adapt and vary teaching styles in order to make learning more affective is important.
