Langley College have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and dynamic candidate to join our team as a Lecturer in English teaching GCSE and Functional Skills on a part time 0.8 basis.

This role is based at our Langley College campus; the centre for our main vocational and technical courses including Apprenticeships, Adult Education and HE. We deliver an innovative curriculum with superb specialist facilities including latest industry standard equipment, workshops and studios.

Lecturer in English (Part Time - FTE 0.8)

As an English Lecturer, you will deliver high quality teaching, academic and pastoral support to enable our students to reach their full potential.

Sharing your skills and knowledge, you will utilise your experience to motivate students to achieve, whilst developing and maintaining high levels of student retention and attendance.

You will also develop ways of working that are responsive to learners’ needs, monitor and evaluate progress and practice. A natural communicator and proven motivator, you will thrive on student interaction - giving effective guidance and helping them make the most of their futures. This is an opportunity for a passionate individual who wishes to work in a truly stimulating and rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will possess a degree or equivalent qualification and hold a recognised teaching qualification. You will also need previous experience of teaching English GCSE and Functional Skills to a range of learners.

Salary: £21,994.40 - £32,120 actual salary based on 0.80 FTE contract (FTE salary £27,493 - £40,150)

Start Date: Anticipated Monday 2nd May 2022
