Lecturer in ESOL/Maths

About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can engage and motivate students whilst delivering outstanding learning experiences in line with our college ethos. You will be responsible for preparing and teaching maths and ESOL classes to young learners on full-time study programmes and ESOL classes to adult learners on part-time courses to develop their language and employability skills within the School of Skills for Life. Courses within the school are offered from Pre-Entry Level to Level 1. Delivery could include evening courses, Saturday hours and off-site provision.

About you:

You will be joining a friendly and professional School that is wholly committed to securing the best academic and personal development outcomes for all of our learners.

You will be experienced in teaching Functional Skills maths at levels from Entry 1 to Level 1 to learners within an ESOL department. You will also be experienced in teaching ESOL classes and have a track record of assisting learners to high levels of success. Ideally, you will hold a teaching qualification and a Maths and an ESOL subject specialism. Experience of preparing learners for external assessments with a recognised awarding body is essential and experience of delivering on RARPA based courses is desirable.
