Oaklands College is looking for a permanent part time ESOL lecturer to teach students aged 16-18 and adults across our friendly and high-performing department. The post additionally requires experience in teaching Functional Skills Maths.


Our classes are held in the morning, afternoon and evening across three campuses: St Albans, Welwyn Garden City and Borehamwood. Teaching could take place on full time ESOL 16-18 or part time adult classes.


Essential requirements:


- English language teaching qualification e.g. minimum of Trinity Certificate in TESOL, Cambridge CELTA or ESOL Level 4 Subject Specialism;

- A specialist qualification in teaching maths, or experience and willingness to train for this;

- One year's relevant teaching experience;

- An ability to deal effectively with the necessary quality paperwork associated with government-funded programmes.


A PGCE, Level 5 Diploma or Cambridge DELTA and experience with 16-18s are all highly desirable.
