An exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Main Grade Lecturer – Film & Media has arisen in one of the country’s largest Colleges. With a turnover of £55m annually, the College Group services c.22,000 learners each year from a diverse variety of backgrounds. With state-of-the-art facilities, Gold Investors in People status and an excellent purpose-built estate across the city, the College is home to ground breaking innovation and involved in a wide variety of exciting new developments across the city and the wider educational landscape.

You will be required to teach Film & Media Studies at a range of levels including GCSE and AS/A Level. You will be required to deliver both practical and theory based sessions, utilising a range of image and video editing software. A good knowledge and understanding of Photoshop and Adobe Premiere is desirable. This is a temporary post covering maternity leave.

The successful applicant must be Educated Degree within the Media area and have a recognised Teaching qualification. You will have experience of curriculum planning and delivery and be able to create effective and stimulating opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables progression and development.

 Founded in 1992 following the merger of four further education facilities, The City of Liverpool College is a co-educational, non-denominational further education facility operating from six educational sites. The College Campus is located within Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, which also includes John Moores University and the University of Liverpool. Over £100 million has been invested into the city centre campus. As of the most recent inspection the approximate number of students on the total school roll was 11,000. There are a total of over 500 courses on offer to students, including young learners, sixth form, and adult education.
