Can you really make a positive impact on our learners?  We are recruiting to the position of Lecturers in Health & Social Care and if your answer to these questions is “yes” we would welcome your application.

The Role

Health and Social Care is a key growth area for the College and to help us deliver that growth we are recruiting high quality lecturers to deliver Health & Social Care courses at all levels.  The successful candidates will also be key to ensuring the successful embedding of English and Maths within the curriculum.

These roles will deliver Health and Social Care teaching at Levels 1-4 and management units on HNC and HND courses. The roles will contribute to the successful delivery of apprenticeship frameworks, ensure constant assessment of learners’ outcomes and progress and give students the support they need to ensure they succeed.

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who specialise in the following subjects:

  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Dementia Awareness and Care
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Physiological Disorders

The Person

The successful applicants will be experienced educators with a passion for delivering student success and driven to deliver continuous improvement.  You will have a demonstrable track record in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and an up to date in depth knowledge of curriculum delivery in Health & Social Care.

You will demonstrate knowledge of delivering work-based courses as well as have an IQA assessing qualification. Experienced in delivery within an apprentice framework you will also have the ability to assess students in the workplace.

With QTLS status or working towards it, you will have a relevant degree, a teaching qualification and evidence of CPD.  You will also have:

  • A demonstrable ability to use inspiring teaching methods, produce engaging teaching materials and maintain up-to-date schemes of work.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to the ethos of team work.
  • Maths & English qualifications at level 2 or above.

Hours: 36 hours per week
Tenure: Permanent
Salary Scale: £26,954 £37,145
