Changes to government policy within education and the health and childcare sector provide a fantastic opportunity for the College to continue to provide the health and social care sector with its workforce of tomorrow. The department’s provision spans apprenticeships, study programmes and HE courses all designed to progress our students into the vocational area. The Sheffield College has a strong partnership with all the region’s NHS trusts in addition to a range of small and medium sized employers within the sector. These partnerships provide inspiring opportunities for our learners but also for our staff teams to continue their own professional development.

The department offers programmes from entry level to Foundation Degrees, with all members of the team teaching across a range of levels. This breadth provides a wide range of opportunities for professional development and to accommodate a broad range of skills among those leading learners through their journey.
You should hold a Degree (or equivalent) in a related subject area and will have or be willing to work towards a full teaching qualification. If you don’t possess a full teaching qualification but are passionate about learning, have experience of providing teaching or training and would like to join the College in this role we are prepared to offer training to help you gain a full teaching qualification.
