Macclesfield College is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in ICT to join their highly committed STEM Faculty. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality teaching, learning and the assessment of learners and will be keen to contribute to the wider development of the ICT Faculty area.

It is essential that applicants have experience in delivering to a consistently high standard in at least two or more of the following applications; web design; games design; programming, hardware, networking and systems support. A knowledge of CISCO is also desirable.

Applicants must possess a degree in Computing or equivalent appropriate vocational qualification, and have a current teaching qualification to the required national standards (or a willingness to undertake a formal teaching qualification in a timely manner). The successful candidate will also possess excellent teamwork and organisational skills.

Annual leave  

Academic staff are entitled to 40 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales. 

Business Support staff are entitled to 30 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales. 

College Management Team are entitled to 35 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales.  

The College is closed for 2 weeks during the student Christmas break during which time all staff are granted additional leave to be taken at this time.
