Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Lecturer in Maths to join our team. This particular role will be based at our Deeside campus.

Overview of Role

In this role you will be responsible for performing scheduled teaching, preparing learning materials, marking students work, liaising with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. The ideal candidate will have a proven and established background in teaching Maths at GCSE level as well as experience of delivering functional or essential skills courses as this will be a key part of this position.

As a Lecturer at Coleg Cambria it is essential that you are able to demonstrate an understanding of developments within your own specialist area and ensure you are keeping up to date with such developments. It is also vital that you are able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the broad range of learning needs of our students and how you are able to support these within a learning environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Maths or a related topic
  • Hold a teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or C&G 7407
  • Proficient in using MS Office is essential, experience of using Google Docs is desirable
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with energy and enthusiasm for teaching
