Due to an increase in student enrolments we are looking to recruit a pro-active and preferably experienced Lecturer to teach the theory and practice of Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering, Construction, Business and IT at our Merton Campus, potentially covering Levels 1 to 4. You will need to have good administrative skills for lesson plans, schemes of work, quality files, internal verification and to support the paperwork required for recording student’s achievements. 

It is desirable that the candidate is able teach the theory and practice of the Mechanical Engineering curriculum in the School, ranging from level 1 to level 4 with preferably, AutoCAD and Drawing Techniques experience. Also desirable would be experience of teaching BTEC Mathematics Units or Mechanical Principals or a willingness to develop in these areas. The individual will contribute to the Engineering team and develop programmes of work, working in our classrooms and workshops. 

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or relevant professional qualification and a Certificate of education/ PGCE or the willingness to complete this qualification within two years.
