The Sheffield College – Olive Grove Campus

This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to develop their career as a Main Grade Lecturer in our Body and Paint department. The Sheffield College Engineering Centre is now located in brand new premises on Olive Grove Road in Sheffield, 10 minutes’ walk from our main campus on Granville Road.

The Motor Vehicle Department has experienced significant growth in student numbers in full time and apprenticeship provision. This has led to an exciting opportunity for an experienced Body Work specialist to join a dedicated and self-motivated study programme delivery team.

The candidate will be industry experienced and fully competent in a wide range of motor vehicle body work techniques that include body misalignment, welding techniques, adhesive bonding etc. There is an expectation that the successful candidate is apprentice trained at level 3 and that you will hold a teaching qualification or have the willingness to work towards achieving one for candidates straight from industry.

You will be joining a motor vehicle department that is forward thinking and dedicated to the continuous development of the teaching and learning delivery to improve the experience for all students. The motor vehicle team also have strong links with industry that provides progression routes into employment for full-time students, as well as providing apprentices with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the needs of industry.
