We are one of the highest performing colleges nationally on all courses at all levels, rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’. Our current Motor Vehicle provision consists of full time courses and apprenticeships from entry level to advanced in light vehicle maintenance, repair and diagnostics (IC and EV/Hybrid). 

We are looking for a vibrant and committed lecturer with the ability to inspire students and maintain excellent working relationships in a successful Automotive team. Delivery will include both practical and theory sessions covering a range of elements, such as, steering, breaking, suspension, engine and powertrain, electrics and control systems, internal combustion control and diagnostics, inspection & measurement, experience with maintenance and diagnostics for hybrid and electric vehicles would be an advantage. 

Please detail any subjects that you are qualified and experienced in delivering, and to what level. Applicants should be well qualified in the subject area and ideally have a relevant teaching qualification although there may be opportunities for those wishing to move into teaching as a change in career direction. If you are not a qualified teacher already this should not deter you from applying. For example, if you are an experienced industry professional, looking for a career change, then funding may be available to support teacher training.  

The successful applicant will be expected to teach a range of courses within the Automotive department. Previous experience of teaching Motor Vehicle is essential. As well as teaching, the successful candidate will also have responsibility for a tutor group.
