Can you really make a positive impact on our learners?  We are recruiting to the position of Lecturer in Physics & Maths and if your answer to these questions is “yes” we would welcome your application.

The Role

Applied Sciences & A’ Levels is a key growth area for the College and to help us deliver that growth we are recruiting a high quality lecturer to deliver Physics & Maths courses at all levels.  The successful candidate will also be key to ensuring the successful embedding of English and Maths within the curriculum.

The role will deliver Physics & Maths teaching at Levels 1-4.  The role will ensure constant assessment of learners’ outcomes and progress and give students the support they need to ensure they succeed.

The Person

The successful applicants will be experienced educators with a passion for delivering student success and driven to deliver continuous improvement.  You will have a demonstrable track record in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and an up to date in depth knowledge of curriculum delivery in Physics & Maths.

With QTLS status or working towards it, you will have a relevant degree, a teaching qualification and evidence of CPD.  You will also have:

  • A demonstrable ability to use inspiring teaching methods, produce engaging teaching materials and maintain up-to-date schemes of work.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to the ethos of team work.
  • Maths & English qualifications at level 2 or above.

Hours: 36 hours per week
Tenure: Permanent
Salary Scale: £26,954 £37,145
