Job overview
We are looking for two full-time Lecturer's to join our Cross College delivery team for September 2016.
You will be delivering GCSE and Functional Maths to 16-19 year old students on study programmes across various vocational subjects, including Construction, Motor Vehicle, Land based and Sport.
You will be a dedicated and motivated professional, ready to contribute to the development of new strategies to improve the delivery and quality of Maths teaching, learning and assessment.
You will be qualified up to at least Level 3 in Maths, a relevant degree qualification (or equivalent) would be desirable. In addition, you will hold a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or display a willingness to work towards achieving this.
You will be an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative teacher with experience of delivering Maths, preferably in a FE context.
Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
