About the role:

Based in our Faculty of Science and Technology, the Department of Engineering and the Built Environment offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction/Project Management, Quantity and Building Surveying, Town Planning and Mechanical Engineering. We’re seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Quantity Surveying to take a leading role in the delivery of Quantity Surveying teaching and to contribute to the Department’s research into Future Cities.

With a Higher Degree, you’ll be a fully chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Ideally with a PhD or Professional Doctorate (if you do not already have a PhD or Professional Doctorate you’ll be required to register for one within 18 months of commencing employment).

You’ll have successful teaching experience at Higher Education level and/or relevant commercial and/or professional experience in Quantity Surveying. You’ll also have experience and expertise as an academic researcher and/or in consultancy work and/or in engagement with Professional bodies in quantity surveying.

You’ll have experience of professional presentations and/or the dissemination of professional knowledge to a diverse audience.
