Job overview
The Sixth Form at Uxbridge College is responsible primarily for the delivery of A Level, AS, GCSE and BTEC Science courses and is based at the Uxbridge site. We have a track record of achieving strong results which places the Sixth Form in the top 5% of colleges nationally for A level progress. Sociology is one of the best performing subjects within the Sixth Form, and we are looking for a dedicated and capable individual to continue our success. You would teach across Sociology programmes up to A Level.
You will possess a degree in a relevant subject and have teaching experience in the subject area up to Level 3, including A Level. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19. You will either possess or be willing to work towards an advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector. This post is currently fixed term until July 2023; however it may be extended or become permanent.
