About the role:
Westminster Kingsway College is recruiting specialist SEND teachers for our growing provision across sites (Alexandra Centre, King's Cross and Kennet west). We require teachers to lead and teach on our Profound and Multiple Learning Disability (PMLD) courses, MLD/SLD provision and a specialist teacher to work with our cohort of learners with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated behavioural needs. These are specialist posts and experience in these fields are crucial. The post holder will be primarily responsible for providing effective teaching, assessment and tutoring and take a lead in the learners' pastoral care.
About you:
You will have an excellent understanding of the learning needs of students with either PMLD or ASD and a specialist qualification in teaching this cohort. You will be able to baseline assess students and document the learner journey, setting effective SMART targets and identifying distance travelled. You will be an enthusiastic specialist teacher who can differentiate effectively and who has effective classroom management.

About Westminster Kingsway College:
Westminster Kingsway College is a further education college in central London with centres in Camden and Westminster. It offers a huge array of academic and vocational courses for 16-18 year olds and adult learners, such as A-Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships, Foundation Degrees, Access to Higher Education, employability training and short courses. It also offers bespoke training for employers and specialist programmes delivered in conjunction with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.
Westminster Kingsway is an award-winning provider of hospitality and culinary arts courses. For over a century it has been at the forefront of culinary arts education in the UK, providing UK restaurants with highly-skilled chefs, front-of-house staff and management. The college can count among its alumni Jamie Oliver, Ainsley Harriot and Selin Kiazim.

Westminster Kingsway College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in the London Borough of Camden and the London Borough of Westminster, serving pupils from the age of 16 and above. The college has approximately 14,000 students on record every year.
Westminster Kingsway College was founded in 2000 after the amalgamation of Westminster College and Kingsway College. It has learning centres across London in King’s Cross, Regents Park, Camden, Victoria and Soho.
