ABC Teachers are working with a vibrant SEN school that has an outstanding rating. The school needs a Learning Support Assistant who has experience working with children with complex needs, autism, challenging behaviour and other associated learning difficulties. About the role:
Working with students who have ASC, SLD, MLD and other learning and behavioural issues.
Student age will vary from 4-19, depending on the cover needed for the day.
You will be working both within classrooms and outdoors, as well as assisting with swimming in a therapy pool.
Some aspects of personal care will be required for some students.
Criteria to be considered:
Minimum Level 2 Qualification
Proven UK experience as a Teaching Assistant (minimum 6 months) which can be referenced
Previous experience working with SEN children which can be referenced
Have excellent behaviour management skills and strong communication skills.
Be eligible to work in the UK
Have a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing for us to process a new one.
Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
