Lesson Cover Officer Grade 4 Term time only, + 5 days 33 hrs per week, Temporary or Permanent

Pro rata salary band: £14,772 - £17,308 (9.94 – 11.64 per hour) (Full time, all year round band: £19,171 to £22,462)

The role of the cover officer is to provide effective classroom cover in the absence of a teacher. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional to join our team to play a vital role in school. You will deliver the work set by the teacher to our students in any subject area across the school; ensuring students are on task, demonstrating a positive attitude towards learning.  You will need confidence, with the ability to inspire our students so that they maintain their learning in the absence of their teacher.

You would not necessarily need to be able specialise in any particular subject area, however, if you did have a subject specialism, we would try to play to your strengths and offer the opportunity to support in this area.  You would need a high level of literacy and numeracy so that you can support our students to achieve their best.

Perhaps you are someone who is really determined to get onto the right teacher training programme for you, looking for a stepping stone to gain some instrumental experience.  This opportunity will certainly provide this. You could be affiliated to one or more faculties and a number of students.  You will have the chance to be a tutor, to participate in all stages of the planning cycle, to assist colleagues with the differentiation of resources and to mentor a number of identified students.  We would seek a high level of literacy and numeracy in

Headteacher - Alison Gallagher

Foxford Community School joined the Castle Phoenix Trust in October 2018, who are committed to supporting the vision and values of the new headteacher. Foxford is a co-educational maintained secondary school situated in Longford, Coventry. The school is for students aged 11-18 and features a sixth form with capacity for 200 students.

The new headteacher started at Foxford in October 2020 including new recruits to her leadership team. They are passionate about ensuring all students have a good education.
