Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are recent Level 2 or above in Primary Education, teachers/NQTS/ECTS are also welcomed to apply.
Jan 2022 – July 2022 potential to be extended due to funding.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be able to approach the educational environment with confidence.
• Support children by using a holistic approach.
• Getting the classroom ready for the day
• Capable of developing positive relationships.
• Excellent behaviour management using positive reinforcement and distraction with the ability to manage the behaviour of ability to follow the school policies and procedures.
• You may be required to work in one-one and group situations and must have a good understanding of the National Curriculum and be able to work well with the class teacher.
• Observe, monitor and report on learning and development/task completion and
• Provide a safe environment where children have the confidence to learn.

Requirements
To be considered for Teaching Assistant (TA) positions, you must:
• Minimum of Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or recent experience with children.
• Have experience supporting children to academically challenge themselves.
• Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
• Ability to manage behaviour and be a strong presence in the classroom
• Patience and sense of humour
• SEN experience desirable but not essential
• Be able to adapt to different routines daily.
• Be flexible and creative when supporting teaching.
• Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 15:30 Mon-Fri.
• DBS on the update system is an advantage, however we can support the process of this.
