£65 - £75 per day - (£325-£375 per week)

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are recent Level 2 and experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage are or NQT/ECT also welcomed to apply.  

Jan – July 2022 potential to become permanent for the right person. 

At Vision for Education, we always look to appoint talented Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant’s. This role is due to start in January 22 however the school wish to observe and appoint for the position as soon as possible. 

1. Do you have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and understand the changes to the current reforms? 

2. Do you possess the skills to engage our youngest children with their prime and specific areas of learning e.g.

• Communication and Language Development

• Physical Development

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development

The role

The successful Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant will be capable of supporting children in Reception.  

• Have excellent communication skills, with a willingness to provide support across EYFS. 

• Interact meaningfully through play indoors and outdoors and support children during breaktimes. 

• Aware of children who may need support due to SEND. 

• Be responsible for a group of children as a Key Worker and assess and monitor their development. 

• Ability to support children with their communication and Language skills, using body language, visuals and objects of reference. 

• Have a desire to support children to manage and explore their feelings. 

• Lead activities in core and foundation subjects. 

• Good knowledge of Reading schemes, such as oxford reading and ability to complete phonic lessons and letters and sounds. 

• Ability to read stories with enthusiasm, which engages children. 

• Provide a secure, safe and happy environment where children can learn through play and learn. 

• Support children’s behaviour with positive interactions.

The school ethos promotes an inclusive environment. They are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and engaging Teaching Assistant at Level 2 or above with a love of lifelong learning to join their team. The school can offer a friendly environment, with hardworking colleagues and a very supportive leadership team. 

The school is set in the Horwich area, where views are exceptional. The school is rated GOOD and is now looking to move to outstanding in their next stage. The children take part in many holistic sessions, such as mindfulness, calm space and PHSE.

Requirements

To be considered for Teaching Assistant (TA) positions, you must:

• Minimum of Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject and recent Early Years Foundation Stage.  

• SEN experience desirable, not essential but must be aware of the various support needs. 

• Be flexible and creative within the teaching and learning environment.

• Be able to work between the hours of 8:15 until 15:45 Mon-Fri
