Level 2 Specialist Teaching Assistant

Priory Woods School and Arts College is a large and successful school for young people aged 4 – 19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs.  We currently have a vacancy for a Level 2 Specialist Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 BSL qualification or who is working towards this, to provide one to one signing and communication support to pupils within school.

The successful applicant must have:

• A BSL Level 2 qualification or working towards this.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• A good understanding of special educational needs
• Understanding of child development and learning processes
