Salary: £15,000 p.a. with an annual salary review linked to successful completion of previous years training, qualification and performance.

Apprenticeship qualification: The successful applicant will be employed by The White Rose Academies Trust central team and will undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship course with Leeds City College.

The Apprenticeship will take 18 months to complete. This will be undertaken on a day release basis.

We are looking to appoint a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice to join The White Rose Academies Trust central team.

The successful applicant will complete a Level 3 apprenticeship. They will then have the choice to progress on to a fully funded part time Foundation Degree in Leadership and Management or Business Enterprise and Management, which can then be topped up to a full degree. These courses will be fully funded by The White Rose Academies Trust.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, your role will involve demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. You will also be expected to show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.


Areas of responsibility

  • Providing administrative support including diary management, meeting arrangements, travel plans and taking minutes.
  • Produce PowerPoints and format reports producing high quality and professionally presented documentation.
  • Raise purchase orders by processing internal requisitions.
  • Working with the projects team to assist with the planning and delivery of various events and projects.
  • Undertake and lead projects as and when required.
  • Responding efficiently and professionally to enquiries or requests for information.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships within the team and across the organisation.
  • Able to accept and deal with changing priorities related to both their own work and to the organisation.
  • To support, collate information and format reports and documents.

  • High-end communication skills across all formats.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.

  • IT literate and confident with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Full driving license required as travel between sites across Leeds will be required.
